Currently, the Awareness Unit is working on implementing the "Community Mapping" Project, with four schools in Bethlehem District (Dar Salah School for Boys, Al-Ubeidieh School for Girls, SOS School and Wade' De'mes School for Boys).  This project employs the state-of-the-art communication tools, enabling the students to "define" the heritage of their community using different methods such as drawing, writing, photography in their own community, that they find valuable important, interesting, and/or significant.  It is a vibrant way of telling a neighborhood's story.  It can highlight the rich array of neighborhood assets, analyze the relationship between income and the location of services or document vacant lots and buildings.
